Bounty hunting plays an important role in AoA (Age of Aincrad) for players who want to PvP and earn their fortune with it, but don't want to kill innocent players. Bounty hunting is not a profession; just a feature of the game (no skill needed for it). Bounties can only be set on players with an red cursor. This is because those players have commited a crime such as murdering other players.

Bounty Hunting Mechanics

It's quite simple to set a bounty. All a player has to do is visit a Bounty Board that can be found in every larger city. At the board, players can place bounties by entering the name of the convicted. A daily fee is required to keep the bounty posted on the board.

When a player accepts the bounty, he/she will be given a "Jail Crystal," which can be used to send the criminal to jail after he/she is caught by the Bounty Hunter. In order to use a jail crystal a Bounty Hunter must bring the targets health below to 10% (NOTE: Injuring a player you accepted a bounty for will not make you a criminal). Once you have used the crystal, the convicted will be sent to jail, and the Bounty Hunter will receive his/her reward (items or ingame currency).
